This review pertains to the most northerly unit from Riverfront ll of the two they own there. After a 40 minutes wait I informed the waiter, I would pay for our drinks and leave. Magic happened in 2 minutes. The excuse - we have two ¿"restaurants" ? (Loosely using the word) And only 1 kitchen and they are separated by another food "place". They own 3 within a 150 yard distance. I know enough to NEVER order beef in Ecuador so I ordered pork. Pork was fine, creamated like all meats in Ecuador but edible. My lunch partner ordered a local dish after being assured it was authentic ingredients and style. NO SO. Awful! But why go on? The place is terrible! - RUN. Our waiter did his best but a waiter makeith not the meal. Vacationers visiting Riverfront 1 & 2 - do yourself a favor and turn left along the river (north) and walk past the first street (6 minutes max) to some actual real bars and restaurants without the rude, in your face, scouts hearding and luring you in. Horrible places. BTW - Friends visited the Mami-T nearest Riverfront 2 (ll) and had a similar $90 experience. The owners are very obvious there for the quick...
Read moreIf you’re in Guayaquil and craving a hearty, authentic taste of Ecuador, Miami T is a must-visit. I ordered the Bandera de la Nieta Clásica ($19.90), and it was an impressive and well-balanced sampler of traditional coastal and highland dishes.
The plate includes: • Seco de chivo (goat stew): tender and flavorful with a tangy, sour sauce that adds a bold punch. • Guatita (tripe stew): creamy and comforting, likely thickened with potato or squash, delivering a mild, rich flavor. • Ceviche de camarón: bright, citrusy, and fresh—especially refreshing alongside the heavier dishes. • Cazuela de pescado: added a coastal touch.
The sides—arroz amarillo (yellow rice), maduros (fried plantains), and fresh avocado—brought everything together. The plantains had just the right amount of sweetness, and the ceviche and avocado added a clean, fresh contrast that lifted the entire dish.
On top of the delicious food, the restaurant is in a lovely location with a great view of the waterfront of Puerto Santa Ana, making the experience even more enjoyable. Generous portions, attentive service, and a great atmosphere—Miami T...
Read moreThere are several Mami-T locals in the city, I will refer to the one located on Puerto Santa Ana. Service is excellent but is its food that has made this place very popular. You will have a huge variety of dishes, from seafood to meat, from burgers to burritos and much more. Its price value relation is very good. Dishes are big enough and delicious. Place is not big so on peak hours is better to make a reservation. You may also ask for Mami-T y El Mar, which is another restaurant also located in Puerto Santa Ana and is specialized in sea food, simple superb food and its bar is complete with a vast...
